The demise of West Park Hospital is documented in film and photograph on BBC iPlayer for anyone with an interest in mental health and the demolition of Victorian psychiatric hospitals.

Alec Soth, Wassink Lundgren and Viviane Sassen can be seen at Hotshoe Gallery from 12th October with a preview on 11th at 6.30pm. Nearest tube is Farringdon. Exhibition runs until 27th November.

Photofusion opens a new exhibition on Friday of work following the death of a parent. Sensitive and moving, Joachim Froese and Andre Penteado explore a variety of themes including memory and illusion in dealing with loss and grief.

The profound in the everyday can be found in New York's International Centre for Photography until 8th January - with the first major museum exhibition of Peter Sekaer's work. The Danish documentary photographer died in 1950 leaving among the finest photographs of the Great Depression in the US.
