Vasileios Kantas PhD On Images That Maintain An Appeal "Drawing examples from established practitioners such as Eggleston, Winogrand, Winship, Petridis, as well as from his own photography portfolio, Vasileios will present his viewpoint on how some images achieve to preserve a never ending enthusiasm to its onlooker. By analyzing the progress of his practice throughout his involvement with the medium, along with enriching his visual inquisitiveness with theorists’ claims (such as Barthes, Van Lier, Flusser, Laruelle and Rivellis) Vasileios will illustrate the directorial strategies of a photographer whose practice oscillates between that of an intuitive practitioner and an academic researcher."
