PhotoVoice has been working at Activ8 recently and now launches it's show at Activ8, 5-6 Trinity Road, Hastings. The show runs through the week until 9th July (thanks to Alex and PhotoHastings).
A retrospective of Thomas Struth opens at the Whitechapel Gallery "photographs 1978 - 2010" runs from 6th July to 16th September.

A new show opens friday at Stade Hall 'In between' by Phillip and Anthony Reed. Private view 6-8pm with Sonic Performance by Geoff Leigh and Nick Weekes at 7pm. A photographic collaboration between two identical twins living in London and China examine how the internet is affecting the way in which work is being produced.
"...To utilise the creative potential of such platforms they decided to set up a website dedicated to this visual dialogue. Throughout the duration of the project photographs are uploaded chronologically and paired together, the pairs are decided by factors such as the time between each image being taken and the visual coherence between the two. ...In Between touches on many issues, it also acts as a cross cultural examination of two locations for who environmental, historical, political and geographical factors have all culminated in the development of richly different ideas, languages and values. Presenting a desire to understand their environment and to explore how it exerts it’s influence upon the experience of the individual..." |
